New Year, New Projects

My husband and I sent the girls to my parent's house for the afternoon and evening and we began building some shelves in our storage room to get it cleaned up and organized. We began with a very crazy mixed up storage room, well for me anyways. So, off we went to Lowes with 2 gift cards, totaling $45.00, in hand to purchase lumber and screws to build our shelves. We ended up spending $94.00 out of our pocket on all our supplies, oh I did throw in 100 ideas Organize magazine (great ideas inside) and a shop vac attachment that I needed for cleaning my car. OK, so I am getting a little side tracked here. Back to the our project. My husband assembled the shelves in the garage and then brought them downstairs to put in place. We cleared out the mess hung the 4 posts, attached the 3 shelves and then we were done. It took us a total of 4 hours. I hope that this inspires you to take on a project to get yourself one step closer to being organized.

  2. So, I gotta know: 4 hours including shopping at Lowe's AND browsing through the Organizing magazine. (I would have been more distracted... "Let's just stop off at Kohls why we are over here") You are such an inspiration to the organizer wannabe that I am! Thanks for taking the time to blog your ideas Tamara! I am looking forward to all that you have to share!

  3. Razz, that's awesome! You guys are amazing. Just 4 hours for that result? That doesn't happen at my house! I wish I had your help with my latest and most intense photo organization project. Yikes!

I'm excited about your blog—it'll be a fun way to keep up with you & what you've got cooking on Woodlawn Blvd. :)
