Cheap Summer FUN!!!!!

Here is a list of things that you can do with your kids for super cheap or even free during summer break, ENJOY!!!!

  • Summer Movies at Derby Plaza Theaters, check out the movies listed, the times and dates here.
  • FREE movie and video game rentals at Family Video for each A (or equivilant to) that your child has on their report card.  Find more information at Report Card Rewards.
  • Summer Reading Program at the Library encourages kids to read during the summer and if the fill their reading log by July 16th, they can get a free pass to Rock River Rapids and a chance to win an i-pod.
  • Barnes & Noble Summer Reading Club: Kids in grades 1-6 can receive a free book from Barnes & Noble by reading 8 books over the summer. They will need to fill out a Summer Reading Journal and bring the journal to a B&N location when they are finished. They will then receive a coupon for a free book. 
  • Borders Double Dog Dare Reading Program: Kids 12 and under can join the Borders Double Dog Dare You Reading program. They will earn a free book when they read 10 books, fill out this form and bring it in to any Borders, Waldenbooks, or Borders express store by August 26, 2010.
  • Lowe's Free Build and Grow Workshops: Workshops are offered on Saturdays at 10 a.m.
  • Home Depot Free Kids Workshops: Workshops are designed for children ages 5-12 and are offered on the first Saturday of the month between 9 a.m. and noon at all Home Depot stores.
  • $5 Wednesday at Warren in Old Town in Wichita. 
  • North Rock 14 in Wichita is having a Summer Vacation Movie Series.

  1. My son brought home a kidsbowlfree.com flyer. Still have to pay shoe rental. But I took two kids to bowl two games today and it cost me $3. We chose Seneca Bowl, but I believe there were two others participating. If they have bowling shoes it would be free. Hope this helps some more families. www.kidsbowlfree.com Thanks, Trish
