Desire to Honor Him

As I sit here doing my devotional for today, my children are playing outside on their swingset without a care in the world.  It makes me smile to think of what a place of peace and innocence they have right now.  But with everyday they get older the things of this world rob them of their innocence sooner their little minds are ready to understand. But, God has placed them in my care to teach and guide them according to His Word.  Just as God has called me to bear His name and to honor Him in all that I do, I want the same from my children.  (Jer. 15:16) I am a sinful person by nature, but it is my desire to honor God with my life.  I want the way that I live my life to honor Him.  I remind my children that the way we act is a reflection of our family as well as our devotion to God, we can either bring them honor or shame by the way we live.  Are you honoring God by the way you are living your life?  If you are not, how can you make some changes to live a God honoring life?
